Introduction
Welcome to FluffMind.
This privacy policy explains what information is collected or processed when using the FluffMind app, how we use it, what is stored on the device, what is stored on the server, and what may be sent to external AI and advertising providers.
Using FluffMind constitutes acceptance of this privacy policy.
1. Who We Are
FluffMind is an app that uses artificial intelligence to help dog and cat owners better understand their pet, including body language, breed characteristics, nutrition, food safety, and general questions related to health and behavior.

2. Our Core Principle
FluffMind is built so that most personal information is stored locally on your device only.
That is, information such as a display name, pet details, preferences, settings, and part of the usage history or context — are stored on the device, and are not stored in our Firestore, unless we explicitly state otherwise or if in the future you choose to use a feature that requires server-side storage.
On the server we mainly store technical information required to operate the app, manage credits and tokens, verify ad views, and record acceptance of the terms of use.
3. Information Stored Locally on the Device
The following information may be stored locally on your device:
- display name or nickname;
- pet details, such as name, type, age, breed, weight, height, sex or health notes;
- language preferences;
- design and appearance preferences;
- usage preferences;
- local information required for convenient use of the app;
- local history or context, if the feature is active.
This information is stored on your device. If you delete the app, clear the app's data, or perform a reset/deletion from within the app — this local information may be deleted and cannot be recovered.
4. Information Stored on the Server / Firebase / Firestore
In guest mode, FluffMind uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication, which creates an anonymous, technical user identifier. This is not a real name, not a phone number, and not an email address.
We may store on the server technical information only, such as:
- Firebase anonymous UID;
- sign-in type, e.g. anonymous;
- AI credits / cats balance;
- chat tokens balance;
- accepted terms of use version;
- accepted privacy policy version;
- date and time of acceptance of the terms;
- app version;
- operating system, such as iOS or Android;
- language;
- creation date;
- last usage date;
- technical records related to rewarded ad verification.
This information is required in order to:
- enable use of the app;
- manage the credits and tokens balance;
- prevent abuse;
- verify rewarded ad views;
- keep proof that the user accepted the terms of use and privacy policy;
- maintain the service and preserve security.
5. Acceptance of Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
Before using the app, the user is required to actively accept the terms of use and privacy policy.
Upon acceptance, we store an acceptance record that includes technical details such as:
- anonymous UID;
- terms of use version;
- privacy policy version;
- time of acceptance;
- language;
- platform;
- app version;
- acceptance method, e.g. checkbox clickwrap.
These acceptance records may be retained even after deletion of a guest profile, for legal defense, security, handling disputes, preventing abuse and complying with legal requirements.
6. Information Sent for AI Analysis by Google / Gemini
When you use the image, video, body-language, breed, nutrition or certain question analysis features, the content you send may be sent to Google/Gemini AI services for processing and to receive a response.
This information may include, depending on the feature you used:
- images of a pet;
- videos of a pet;
- text you wrote;
- questions;
- notes;
- prior context required to give a better answer;
- the response generated by the AI.
According to Google's Gemini API terms, when using free services or the free tier, Google may use the content sent to the service and the generated responses to provide, improve and develop products, services and machine-learning technologies, and human reviewers may read, annotate or process inputs and outputs after they have been disconnected from your Google account, API key and Cloud project. Google states that personal, confidential or sensitive information should not be sent to free services.
When using paid Gemini API services through a Google Cloud project with active billing, Google states that it does not use prompts, files, images, videos, documents or responses to improve its products, and that the information is processed in accordance with its data processing terms.
Therefore, do not send to FluffMind any personal, sensitive, confidential, identifying, medical information, or any information you do not want processed by Google or external AI providers.
7. Information Sent to the DeepSeek AI Chat
FluffMind may use DeepSeek AI models for the chat feature, Fluffly AI.
When you use the chat, the messages you send, the context sent to the chat, and the generated responses may be sent for processing through DeepSeek services, via FluffMind's server-side infrastructure.
Information sent to the DeepSeek chat is also subject to DeepSeek's privacy policy and terms of use.
According to DeepSeek's privacy policy, DeepSeek may collect information that the user provides to the service, including text input, voice input, prompts, uploaded files, images, feedback, chat history or other content sent to its models and services. DeepSeek states that it may use the information to provide, maintain, secure, improve and develop its services and technologies, including training and improving models and algorithms. DeepSeek also states that personal information may be stored and processed on servers located in the People's Republic of China.
Therefore, do not send in the chat any personal, sensitive, confidential, identifying, medical information, or any information you do not want processed by DeepSeek or external AI providers.

9. Advertising and Google AdMob
FluffMind may display advertisements, including standard ads, native ads and rewarded ads.
Advertising helps fund the app's operation, cover the costs of AI models, servers, infrastructure, maintenance and development, and allow some features to be available for free.
Advertisements may be provided by Google AdMob or other ad providers. These providers may collect and process technical information, advertising identifiers, device data, usage data and interactions with ads in accordance with their policies.
For rewarded ads, AdMob may send our server a view verification, which includes technical information such as:
- anonymous UID;
- reward type;
- transaction ID;
- verification signature;
- technical information required to prevent duplicates and fraud.
This information is used to add credits or tokens to the anonymous account after a valid ad view, and to prevent abuse.

- forward requests to the AI chat;

13. Information Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information, including the use of Firebase Security Rules, server-side verification for rewarded ads, HTTPS, well-known cloud services, and separation between local information and technical information stored on the server.
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security against malfunctions, breaches, unauthorized access or events beyond our control.
14. Data Retention
Local information is stored on your device until you delete it, reset the app, delete the app or clear the app's data.
Technical information on the server, such as the anonymous UID, token and credit balances, usage dates and terms acceptances, may be retained for as long as it is required to operate the service, prevent abuse, for security, handling disputes, proof of consent or compliance with legal requirements.
Terms acceptance records may be retained even after profile deletion, to the extent required for legal defense, security or handling disputes.
15. Deletion and Reset of Information
The app may allow deletion of a guest profile or resetting the app's data.
Deleting a guest profile may delete the technical user document in Firestore and disconnect the user from the app.
However:
- local information may be deleted from the device;
- terms acceptance records may be retained;
- information already sent to external AI or advertising providers may be retained or processed in accordance with their policies;
- it may not be possible to delete information already processed by third-party providers, except in accordance with the tools and rights they provide.
