TripEase – App for planning, managing & sharing trips
1. Introduction
TripEase is a tool for planning, managing and sharing trips. The app does not replace the user's own independent verification, does not constitute an official information source, and is not responsible for any decisions, bookings, payments or actions the user takes based on information in the app.
Any use of the app, its content, AI-generated content, user content, and external links is entirely at the user's own risk.
Using the app constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the Security Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the app.
2. Purpose of the App & Usage Restrictions
- TripEase is a tool for trip planning and management only.
- Information in the app, including AI-generated or user-generated content, does not constitute a commitment, professional advice, or binding recommendation.
- The app does not provide official legal, medical, security, insurance, financial, transportation, or tourism advice.
- The app is not intended for emergency use. In an emergency, contact the relevant authorities, emergency services, embassy, insurance company, or other competent party.
- The app is intended for personal use only. Commercial use, copying content, data scraping, building a competing database, or automated use is prohibited without explicit written permission.
3. User Responsibility for Content
The user is fully responsible for all information, content, images, documents, links, notes, places, itineraries, booking confirmations, or any other details they enter, upload, save, edit, share, or publish in the app.
The user undertakes not to upload, save, share, or publish content that is:
- Unlawful.
- Offensive, violent, misleading, or dangerous.
- Sexual or otherwise inappropriate.
- In violation of copyrights, trademarks, patents, or any other intellectual property right.
- In violation of another person's privacy or containing another person's personal data without authorization.
- Defamatory, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
- Likely to harm the app, other users, or third parties.
The user is responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use, save, upload, or publish any image, document, text, video, file, or content they add to the app.
If the user uploads an image containing people, identifying details, license plates, documents, businesses, or personal information belonging to others, the sole responsibility for verifying that use and publication is permitted rests with the user.
4. Verifying Information Before Relying on It
The user is responsible for independently verifying all important information before use, travel, booking, or payment, including:
- Opening hours and availability.
- Addresses and coordinates.
- Prices, tickets, and payment terms.
- Flight, hotel, and attraction details.
- Dietary requirements (kosher/halal), accessibility, and entry conditions.
- Visa requirements, permits, insurance, and country entry conditions.
- Weather, local laws, and safety conditions.
- Cancellation, refund, and change policies.
The app does not guarantee that information it displays, including AI-generated information, will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for the user's needs.
5. Use of AI
The app includes AI features that assist in creating trips, extracting logistics details from texts and images, building daily or full itineraries, adding places, and filling in information.
- AI features are tools only. AI-generated outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or unsuitable.
- The user is responsible for independently verifying any AI-generated information before using, saving, or relying on it.
- When using AI features, relevant trip details, texts, images, and files are sent to an external AI provider for processing, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Do not input sensitive personal information that is not required, such as passport numbers, payment details, medical information, passwords, personal documents, or another person's information without authorization.
- AI feature usage may be limited by quotas, tokens, service availability, costs, or at the app operator's discretion.
- The app operator may restrict, suspend, or block abnormal, automated, or terms-violating use of AI features.
6. Data Storage, Backup & Recovery
Trip details are stored locally on the user's device. If the user has enabled backup, some data may be stored on external backup services such as iCloud or Google Drive, depending on the device settings.
When a trip is shared with other users, trip details are also stored on cloud servers for sharing and synchronization purposes. Files and images may be stored on cloud storage services.
The user is responsible for securing their device, device password, Google or Apple account, app account, and any other personal access means. Responsibility for securing the backup account, password, two-factor authentication, and access permissions rests with the user and the backup provider.
If the user did not enable backup, deleted the app, lost their device, or reset it, it may not be possible to recover the data. The app does not guarantee backup availability, recovery, or continuous data retention.
7. Trip Sharing
The app allows the user to share trips with other users via a sharing link.
- Creating a sharing link is the user's responsibility.
- The user is responsible for choosing who to send the link to and ensuring they do not share sensitive information with unauthorized persons.
- When a sharing link is created, trip details are uploaded to the cloud to enable sharing and synchronization among participants.
- In Basic Share mode, some sensitive information is omitted or not shared, but regular trip information including logistics details, notes, and general data may still be shared.
- In Secure Share mode, certain sensitive data is encrypted before being stored in the cloud. Not every field the user may consider sensitive is necessarily encrypted. The sharing link includes an access key and must not be sent to unauthorized persons.
- The app is not responsible for exposure resulting from sharing a link, forwarding a link, taking a screenshot, unauthorized access to the user's account, or user error.
- The app may restrict, cancel, or block sharing in cases of misuse or security concern.
8. Public Content – TripInspo
TripInspo is a public area in the app where users can publish places, recommendations, images, and various details, and view content published by other users.
- Publishing to TripInspo is a public action. Information the user publishes, including place name, address, coordinates, description, opening hours, website, rating, dietary info, images, the publisher's name, and other details, may become public and available to other app users.
- The user who publishes a place to TripInspo is fully responsible for every detail they publish, including its accuracy, legality, image usage rights, text rights, and the absence of harm to third-party rights.
- Do not publish to TripInspo: false, misleading, unauthorized commercial, offensive, rights-infringing, privacy-violating, defamatory, spam, or unlawful content.
- The app does not guarantee pre-screening, approval, or verification of all content published on TripInspo. Content may be incorrect, outdated, misleading, offensive, or inappropriate.
- Use of content published by other users is entirely at the user's own risk. Independently verify addresses, opening hours, dietary requirements, availability, website, need for reservation, and any other important detail.
- The app operator may remove, hide, edit, restrict, or delete any content on TripInspo, and block a user who published problematic content, at its sole discretion.
- Users may report incorrect, offensive, rights-infringing, spam, or non-existent places for review by the app team.
9. Editorial Content – TripTap
TripTap is an area of the app that presents ready-made trip templates, recommended destinations, routes, places, recommended hotels, and booking links for attractions or tourism services, selected and edited by the app administrator or an authorized party.
- Content in TripTap is intended only to assist in trip planning and provide inspiration, and does not constitute a commitment, professional advice, or official information.
- The app makes every effort to ensure content is accurate at the time of addition, but tourism information changes frequently, including prices, availability, opening hours, addresses, entry conditions, cancellation terms, ratings, Shabbat suitability, and dietary info.
- Before making a booking, payment, or travel decision, or relying on any information, the user is responsible for verifying details with the official website or service provider.
- A hotel or attraction appearing in TripTap is a recommendation or idea only and does not constitute an actual booking. If the user saves a hotel from a template, it is saved as an idea only and not as a booking confirmation.
10. External Links & Affiliate Links
The app may include links to external websites, including booking sites, hotels, attractions, maps, restaurants, or other services. Visiting an external site, making a booking, payment, cancellation, change, or receiving a service is done solely with the external provider and is the user's responsibility.
The app is not a party to any transaction and is not responsible for the content, prices, terms of service, privacy policy, security, availability, cancellations, refunds, or customer service of external websites.
Some links in the app, including links to hotels, attractions, tours, or tourism services, may be affiliate links. If the user makes a booking through such a link, the app or its owners may receive a commission or reward. This commission should generally not increase the price for the user, but the final price, booking terms, cancellation, refunds, and service are determined solely by the external provider.
11. Advertising & Sponsored Content
The app may display advertisements, banners, sponsored content, commercial recommendations, offers, marketing links, or affiliate links, including via external advertising providers.
Advertisements may appear in various areas of the app, including content pages, loading screens, TripTap, TripInspo, personal area, trip pages, or other screens, at the app operator's discretion.
The app is not responsible for the content of advertisements, products, services, prices, availability, quality, terms of use, privacy policy, or any commitment made by external advertisers.
Clicking on an advertisement or sponsored link may redirect the user to a third-party website, app, or service. Use of such services is entirely at the user's own risk and is subject to that third party's terms and privacy policy.
The app or its owners may receive payment, commission, reward, or other benefit for displaying, clicking, viewing, registering, or purchasing through certain links.
The app may change how advertisements are displayed, add, remove, or restrict ads, or display ads to only some users, at its discretion.
The user agrees not to attempt to circumvent, block, fake, artificially operate, or manipulate advertising, viewing, click, reward, measurement, or analytics mechanisms in the app.
Personalized Advertising
Some advertisements in the app may be personalized based on technical information, app usage, general location, language, device type, interests, or other information permitted by law and in accordance with the app's privacy policy and advertising providers' policies.
The user may manage or restrict personalized advertising through device settings, operating system settings, or advertising providers' privacy options, to the extent such options are available.
12. Notifications & Updates
The app may send the user notifications, push messages, updates, reminders, or in-app messages for service operation, improving user experience, trip reminders, itinerary updates, trip sharing, AI requests, system messages, security updates, new feature information, relevant content, or commercial offers, to the extent permitted by law.
The user may control notification permissions through device settings or app settings, to the extent such an option exists.
The app does not guarantee that every notification will be sent, received, or displayed on time. There may be delays, malfunctions, blocks, internet issues, operating system limitations, or notification provider limitations.
The user may not rely solely on app notifications for critical actions such as catching a flight, train, booking, payment, cancellation, check-in deadline, event, activity, or any other important action. The responsibility for checking important dates and details rests with the user alone.
The app may change, discontinue, restrict, or add notification types at its discretion.
13. Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services for its operation, including authentication, storage, cloud, maps, AI, backup, images, booking providers, and more.
The app does not fully control these services and is not responsible for malfunctions, outages, breaches, policy changes, data collection, prices, terms of service, or damages caused by third parties. Use of these services is also subject to their own policies.
14. Data Deletion & Copies Held by Others
The user may delete data from within the app using the options available.
However, information that has already been shared, backed up, copied, added to another user's trip, published to TripInspo, or saved by a third party may not be immediately or automatically deleted from all locations. In particular, if another user has already attached a public place to their own trip, that copy may not be deleted even if the publisher removes the place from TripInspo.
15. Private Account
The user may set their account to private. When an account is set to private, the app will restrict viewing of their personal area and hide or remove from public areas content the user has published, in accordance with privacy settings and the app's technical implementation.
Depending on the current implementation, users who follow them may still see some content from a private account. A user with a private account will not be able to publish new places to TripInspo while the account is set to private.
Content already saved or attached by other users to their own trips will not necessarily be automatically deleted when the account becomes private.
16. Misuse & Prohibited Actions
The user agrees not to perform any of the following:
- Attempting to hack the app or its systems.
- Attempting to access other users' data without authorization.
- Circumventing permissions, AI limits, sharing restrictions, or usage limits.
- Uploading spam content, fake content, or unauthorized advertising.
- Using bots, scraping, automation, or creating abnormal load without permission.
- Attempting to harm cloud services, storage, AI systems, or any other app system.
- Sending malicious prompts or attempting Prompt Injection.
- Performing scans, penetration testing, reverse engineering, circumventing permissions, or attempting to extract API keys.
- Using the app for commercial advertising, business promotion, service selling, link distribution, or marketing activity without explicit written permission.
- Using the app for any unlawful, prohibited commercial, or offensive purpose.
17. App Operator Authority
The app operator may, at its sole discretion and subject to applicable law, perform any of the following at any time and without prior notice:
- Remove, hide, edit, restrict, suspend, or delete any content, place, image, link, description, publication, account, or activity in the app.
- Restrict, suspend, block, or delete a user account and prevent access to certain features.
- Restrict AI usage, prevent publishing to TripInspo, or take any other action necessary to protect the app, users, data, systems, or third-party rights.
- Change, update, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any feature, service, screen, content, AI mechanism, sharing, backup, TripTap, TripInspo, or any other part of the app.
These actions may be taken in cases of terms violations, suspected misuse, abnormal activity, hacking attempts, prohibited content uploads, repeated reports, spam, harm to other users, or any other reasonable cause at the app operator's discretion.
18. No Obligation to Retain Content
The app does not guarantee permanent retention of user content. Content may be deleted, restricted, hidden, lost, damaged, or become unavailable as a result of a malfunction, deletion, backup failure, system changes, terms violation, user action, or third-party action.
19. App Availability
The app may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, malfunction, overload, internet issues, provider changes, API limitations, or events beyond the app's control. The app does not guarantee continuous or error-free availability.
20. Ownership & Copyright
All rights to the app, its design, code, name, logo, interface, TripTap content, and systems belong to the app operator or the relevant rights holders. The user receives a limited, personal, non-exclusive right to use the app and its content.
When a user publishes public content, especially to TripInspo, they grant the app a license to use, display, store, process, adapt, distribute, and show that content within the app and for the purposes of operating the service, promotion, security, and improving the app.
21. Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "AS IS", without any guarantee of continuous availability, full accuracy, absolute security, suitability for the user's needs, or freedom from errors.
The app is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage, financial loss, data loss, booking cancellation, missed flight, delay, service issue, information exposure, reliance on incorrect information, or any other damage resulting from:
- Use of the app, its content, user content, AI, or third-party services.
- Reliance on information entered, saved, extracted, or displayed in the app.
- A missed flight, incorrect booking, wrong price, wrong address, or wrong travel time.
- Device theft, device loss, device hacking, sharing a password, or leaving a device unlocked.
- Unauthorized access to the user's account or their personal backup.
- A breach or malfunction at third-party providers.
- Sharing a link with the wrong person, taking a screenshot, forwarding a link, or user error.
22. Indemnification
The user agrees to indemnify and defend the app operator, its owners, employees, suppliers, and partners against any claim, demand, damage, loss, expense, or lawsuit arising from content the user uploaded, published, shared, or edited, from violation of these terms, from violation of third-party rights, or from unlawful or unauthorized use of the app.
23. Changes to Terms of Use
The app operator may update the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Security Policy, or any other legal document from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update to the terms will be considered acceptance of the updated terms, subject to applicable law.
24. Non-Waiver
If the app operator does not enforce a particular provision at a given time, this does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in the future.
25. Summary
The app operator may remove content, restrict usage, block users, suspend accounts, or prevent access to features at its discretion, especially in cases of misuse, terms violations, suspicious activity, or harm to other users.
All content the user uploads, saves, publishes, or shares is their sole responsibility. The app is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, correctness, or consequences of using such content.
The app is provided as-is, without any guarantee of continuous availability, full accuracy, absolute security, suitability for the user's needs, or freedom from errors.
